For the first time ever, the Riyad Nassar Library, Beirut, and the Byblos Library are organizing a 2 day “Library Open House” event May 5-6, 2009. Its aim is to promote and increase awareness of the library services and resources among the LAU community and the Lebanese library community at large.
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend. The invitation is free of charge. Guests will listen to music and poetry, receive refreshments, participate in quizzes and raffles and take home a goodie bag of library related materials. Students only are welcomed to enter our free drawings for a chance to win a Lenovo laptop from IBM , an IPod, a digital frame, and more.
The event will feature demos in information booths about the latest services and resources available at LAU Libraries, both in printed format and online along with library tours. Staff will also be on hand to discuss and advise visitors on how to best utilize services for their particular needs.
